Vinyl Sticker Care: Keep Them Sticky and Vibrant

Quick answer

Clean the surface thoroughly, apply the sticker to a dry area, and avoid prolonged sun exposure to keep your vinyl stickers looking vibrant and sticking well.

Steps for vinyl sticker care

1. Clean the surface: Wipe the area with rubbing alcohol or soapy water to remove dirt and oils. Let it dry completely before applying. A clean surface is the most important step for long-lasting adhesion.
2. Apply the sticker smoothly: Peel the backing and place the sticker slowly, pressing from the center outward to avoid air bubbles. Use a credit card to smooth it down. Bubbles can cause edges to lift—press firmly but gently.
3. Avoid direct sunlight for long periods: Vinyl stickers are UV-resistant but not invincible. Over time, strong sun can fade colors. Place them where they get indirect light or replace them after a few years. Shade helps keep colors vibrant longer.
4. Store unused stickers properly: Keep extra stickers in a cool, dry place away from heat and moisture. The original backing protects the adhesive until you're ready to use them. Heat can make the adhesive lose its stickiness before you apply.
